For an even lower APR, you could also try Simmons First Visa Platinum at 7.25%.

@  or Barclay Ring @ 8%

Ring is an awesome card IMO.. Most people wouldn't qualify for Simmons on this forum as they are very very conservative.  Most is a broad statement as quite a few can, but not your typical myfico poster as they love rewards and are up their in inquiries.

Or you can try my lastest aquisition. GTEFCU  virtually anyone can join. but a referal from a member is best. which i would glady give as i get a bonus. the apr is only 6.99 percent. outstanding.

(regarding all this talk of a myfico-blessed credit pulls type database...)

Dear Fair Isaac:

It has come to our attention that you are promoting, causing to be promoted, or allowing to be promoted, on your site a tool which discourages consumers from applying for our cards if they are wrongly convinced that their FICO® scores are too low to be approved.  This so-called "data" is nothing more than unmoderated libel.  As you are well aware, even applications which are denied contribute to our revenue.  We have also noted that the database in question shows that our competitor has more liberal underwriting criteria but this is clearly not based in truth.  We have seen a substantial drop in applications last quarter and my contact at Competitor informs me that they have never been doing better.  Put a stop to this at once or else.

Dear People that pay my bills

Please consider the advantage of having your card considered super-exclusive!   We have many people on MyFico who will apply for any card if it a) popular, b) "exclusive"

or c) has some metal content.    With proper marketing (and we would be happy to help) you will see your application numbers shoot up!   And, with our special "correction" program, for a very worthwhile fee, we can "adjust" the scores for your card, keeping an air of exclusiveness while allowing you to grant credit to those with a pulse (or those who had a pulse fairly recently)

Haha, that's classic!  OK, you got me.  Suddenly I can see this working.  That is in fact precisely what would happen.  Tell me you're not a banking consultant.

Pay for Delete would be an option too for derogatories!

Re: I know all of us here PIF (heh) but,

LOL.. I could see MyFico having a few different view on this application.  It honestly could go either way, this will be intersting on there response, but somehow I think the CC companies might have something to say in this matter as well if MyFico blesses it.  They could be all for it or against it.  I see benefits and drawbacks for MyFico and the CC companies I can argue for or against..  The people that would use it would be hugely helpful.  Think could be a make as a super simple application (well not as simple as credit pulls db) or can do anything you can imagine being searching by CC with "Metal" content..  Start out simple, but make it scaleable and build on it over time as people request more ways of querying up the data if they make sense.  Still a fairly trival part on the DB, I will admit I am not a great front end developer at all..  A database is a database though, can be done on any platform.  Thinking MySql might be the best as I believe it is free, but whatever works.

Re: I know all of us here PIF (heh) but,

Yes, good idea about the searchability.  We need checkboxes for:

[ ] Metal content

[ ] Comes in a black cardboard box

What I don't get though is this:  One rogue individual with some light skills (possibly working for Competitor, or possibly just a troublemaker) could skew the numbers for any company any way he wishes.  I haven't heard of this happening on those other sites.  I wonder why not?  Perhaps nobody has been bored enough.  With enough traffic though (as myFICO gets), it could be well worth someone's time.  When I search those other databases I get literally just a handful of hits.  Imagine what someone armed with a bot and a few thousand proxies could do.
