I need help/input on earing/using my rewards most effectively.

I use my Walmart in store and online and just realized in store doesnt make sense as its only1% and I have other cards with better rewards. I've now come to the realization Im not being as effective as I could be at earning points.

Does Walmart count as a supermarket? BCE does 3% at supermarkets.

Discover for gas this quarter 5%

I only use Chase at Amazon 5%

I'd like to get my Delta miles up as I have a few trips planned (in my mind) this summer. Is trying to run most everything through my Amex Delta more benefical than getting Cash Back from another card?

I want to be a point earning beast any suggestions would be appreeciated.

Walmart's vary on how they code.  "Generally", the superstores are not supermarkets (for Amex), the neighborhood markets often are.

As to whether the Delta Amex is a better use:  you need to find out the cash price of the proposed trips and how many Delta miles you would need for the award (+ any taxes) and then compare how many dollars you need to spend to get either the cash price or the required miles.

If your local Walmart has fresh grocery pick up service, you can get the 3%

Basically, you order your groceries online ( i think $50.00 minumum), they bag it for you and you just go to their pick up area.

You're paying online with your store card, so it counts as 3% vs 1%.

Re: I need help/input on earing/using my rewards most effectively.

I'm wondering which cards I should use for everything else.

a. I want to earn the most rewards

b. want to keep my relationships up with the different lenders (for example; running everything through CAp 1 and getting closed/CLD from Chase or Amex)

I just need help...
