Even though 5/24 doesn't directly apply, you'll still want to stick to the same basic guidelines. Your oldest card should be at least a year old, and you should apply when you don't have a lot of recently opened cards.

Thanks everyone for the great advice. I’m really trying to be responsible and PIF every month. I mainly use the cards for gas or other charges i would normally use my debit card for then pay as it posts.
