Was curious, so I tried the prequal;
I was pre-approved for $20,000.
I could see using this for a project at a small office/business/salon.
For a small business, 4.99% is a very competitive interest rate if you did not want to use your personal line(s) of credit,
or - if you have no offers with your current small business credit cards.
Also, for Comenity, it's beem some time since we've seen much in the way of new retailers/card products
being addted to their portfolio. Lately, it's been more of cancellations/closures (Motorola. Virgin America, Fuel Rewards, etc.) than
new companies establishing a relationship with Comenity for private label credit card services.

So since my soft pull did not pre qualify me..can I call reconsideation line before actually applying and see where I might be short on the soft pull..I dont want to do a hard pull unless I am probably getting approved...thoughts? Need this card for our kitchen remodel we want to do...but not on a set time table and I can probably do some things to bump my score...
I prequalified for $19K but I know I couldn't put $5k worth of Ikea stuff in my already furnished condo.
Wife will never set foot in one again, she hates the maze setup they have going on. Good for me I guess. She also hates shopping...

Anyone have any feedback on this new card from IKEA. I am curious on the approval odds and minimums. Thanks!
Here’s a prequalify link (soft pull with option to apply): https://comenity.net/ikeaprojekt/pub/prequalify/Prequalify.xhtml?cmp=476_web_prequal_ikea
It is indeed financed by Comenity. Minimum purchase amount seems to be $5,000. For the prequalify tool, you input the amount you’d like to be considered for. If preapproved, it gives you the amount you’re prequalified for and invites you to apply.
I hope this is helpful.
Are you sure its a soft pull?...I thought they only required last 4 not the whole SS#
A few CC companies require your full SSN, such as Capital One and Discover. I think since they are prequalifying you for a specific amount, they are looking for more data.
Thanks, that makes things more understandable
I think they are shooting too high. I'd get this card if they had 0% APR for 18-24 mo for $5k+ or something smaller like $1.5-3K 0% APR for 12 mo.
I wanted to buy a few things but that's not in my price range.
Definitely more for businesses than for individuals.
