When JCP or Belk give you a CLI, do they pull your credit again each time?

Both are GE backed and they are usually SP. but they usually also do CLI every 4th statements

Call the underwriter at the # listed in the backdoor number thread and shoot high!  Both will be SP

Yes and no; if you're talking about an auto CLI, it's likely they won't even soft pull your report at all, and are doing it based on your internal history with the card. When you are requesting a CLI, they will at most do a soft pull. Some people report not even getting a soft when requesting a CLI, meaning that they are judging based on internal history!

With all honesty, with my JCP card, I do not recall ever seeing a soft from GECRB on my TU, however I could have looked passed it! It has also been a while since I've gone through the softs on my TU...I don't even recall the last time I have!

I have never had a soft pull with JCPenneys either and have had multiple CLI's (both auto and requested). I will tell you for some reason, I have better luck requesting CLI's over the automated phone system than online. My recent request online said we cannot process, but when I called the automated they up'd my limit 2k (without speaking to anyone).
