Hello! I wanted to share my method of getting a full refund with American Express from interest charges, which put about $150 back in my pocket.
I image this would require good standing with AMEX, such as no late payments, no excessive utilization ratios, and no other red flags. Other lenders may be willing to do this, too.
Over the past 4 months I made several large purchases for a move, totally around $5,000 and taking up until today to pay off. Long story short, each month accrued interest with a total being about $150. (The purchases weren't all at once, but spread out which is why the interest was relatively low).
Today, I decided to request the interest be refunded through live chat for December, January, and Feburarys' statement, and it was simple as that! No questions asked. So, give it a shot, and see how much you can put back in your pocket 
Yeah I do the same thing with Cap 1 when I PIF then a previous months nterest shows up. 1 phone call no questions and ther are happy to help :-)

That is very good! I've seen late charges and interest caused by a late payment being refunded but this sounds like 3 months of legitimate charges just going away!
