I PCed my Savor to QS at 11.5 months, then closed it a few months after that. I find Cap1 annual fees only make sense as a step towards getting a big SUB.
There are now cards that give 3% cash with no AF. Why pay $95 for 2% in restricted statement credits? I know Cap1 does run occasional promos on the cards...not sure of the latest ones. I didn't find CovidTable too appealing.
Most people (everyone?) has trouble PCing to Savor and Savor One. Even if there's a slim possibility it could help you PC in the future, you face the certainty of a dubious AF until then.

Yeah, I won't string it out.

Congratulations on the upgrade. I always think Capital One's cards that don't have the "One" in them (e.g. Quicksilver One vs. Quicksilver) are a step over the other, and who knows, they may be easier to upgrade in the future. Capital One can change their policy again and make certain cards upgradable where the lesser ones are not.

QS is objectively better than QS1 with stricter credit standards, but it's not so clear cut with Savor vs. Savor1 and Venture vs. Venture1.
It feels so wrong to congratulate someone on a Cap One upgrade, but here I am. You're in the upper echelon of mediocrity!!
All jokes aside, Congrats on your exclusive invite Peachy!!!
Champagne wishes and caviar dreams!! 🥂

My upgrades went Savor--->Venture1---> Venture.... so each step Cap1 considered an upgrade. idk
