Is is possible to ask for more than your last 3XCL on Amex?

I was just wondering if anyone asked for more than the 3 times limit on their last CL increase with them?  I'm at 6k now and on July 12th, I will be able to ask for the last one.  Just wondering if I can ask for more?  I would like 24k total.  Just don't want them to think I'm being greedy. Use the card and PIF the same day.  So never a balance. THX

You can ask for as much as you want, but it's my understanding they will only ever grant you up to 3x your current limit.

Okay, thanks for the info.  So if I ask for 24, they'll come back with the 18?

I think that's how it works, yes. I've never had a CLI with Amex, so I have no personal experience, but that seems to be the consensus here.

Doesn't really matter.  You're only going to qualify for what you're going to qualify for.  If you qualify for less than what you request they'll counteroffer.  If you don't qualify for anything then you'll get denied.
