Is it True Cap One has changed credit limit increase policies?

Well I've learned so much on this forum and one of the things I picked up over time is to call and request credit limit increases ecery six months or so.  Well I just completed my refinance at 4.5% yayyyyy, and the only debt I have is my mortgage, a small student loan, and 4 credit cards all with balances of less than $1000.  So now that everything is looking great, I called and requested credit limit increases on all of my cards, snf received increaes on all but Cap 1, to which I was told they no longer do customer requested increases, but rather only review them when they see it now.  Is this 100% true?

Yes, this is true.  I called CapOne to request a CLI on a card that I have had for almost 4 years.  They told me that CapOne has made the business decision not to offer any CLI's at this time, but that I will be notified in the future, upon account review, of any offers available.

ALSO:  My daughter (22) who is an authorized user on a couple of my accounts (no other or personal credit) was instantly approved for a CapOne card with $1,000 CL 6-8 weeks ago.  My son who is 21 with identical credit as my daughter (same AU accounts as my daughter) and same income, etc. (they are very close in age) was DENIED a credit card.  They were identical in credit, income, address, location, education.  The only variances was about a year in age and gender and 2 months difference in APP date.  One gets $1,000 approval, the other denied.

I would say that my CLI and my kids app experience shows that CapOne is continuing to tighten down on the old credit purse strings.

I use to get an auto CLI every 6 Month on the dot. It's been 8 Months since I got my last CLI. I do not use the card as much as I use to and will eventually close it so I never bother to call them.
