Is it bad to request an increase on a card you've had when you just opened up new accounts?

This won't effect me negatively, will it? I haven't gotten an increase from any store cards since October. So I requested an increase on my TJx card and I got my limit upgraded to $1,300. But the thing is, I just opened 3 accounts with Amex, Discover and Chase. I was going to upgrade my Old Navy and TJx Rewards cards but I don't know if I should.

Should I try to upgrade the card to Mastercard? I'd use the account more often if it wasn't just a store card.

But it's impossible to upgrade it to the MC version?
