Exactly!!!
You got to be so lucky to have stipend. That too 5K is really a big one? Isn't guys?????
every situation is different, I guess. I'm working my way through college fighting for every penny, while my girlfriend has unlimited spend from her mom.
Born lucky
How to get the CSP with no existing relationship with Chase and sub-700 FICOs:
Step 1: Open a Chase Checking account. Direct deposit your paychecks to this account.
Step 2: Apply for Chase Freedom - prerequisite that your score is > 630 and don't have recon anxiety disorder (if you do, talk to your doctor - lol)
Step 3: Run all purchases through the Freedom for 6 months and PIF.
Step 4: On the 6th statement cut apply for the CSP.
Step 5: Be prepared to recon - point out your banking relationship and past performance with your Freedom.
Following these steps will lead to a significantly higher chance of approval even if you don't have an existing $5k+ revolving line with another creditor. The art of the recon is paramount when dealing with Chase/JPM. I happen to be in sales therefore my ability to get > $20k in revolving credit with Chase/JPM with sub-700 FICO's has been due to my professional background in subliminal persuasion.

Exactly. When I became an adult at 18 I felt so lucky that my parents still gave me $100 a month on top of the job I already had. They wanted me to eat more than just instant noodles.

Instant Ramen <3
I'm in college now, and I would kill for a $5,000/month allowance! I have a job, but that extra income would be sweet!

But really I put my income as 0000 on Amex
And whoever posted chump change got to stfu i don't care what you think is chump or w.e because my dad probably makes 10 times more then you
No need to get defensive. We're simply curious because it should be nearly impossible to get approved by AmEx with no history and especially no income. In order to get a credit card, you have to show the ability to repay. It seems awfully strange how your situation is playing out.
Second, the "chump change" comment was made in jest. I'm sure he didn't intend any malice towards you.
