Is it possible to dispute a new credit card before it posts to your credit?

I have a new credit card to post to my credit so it will show I have more revolving debt, but I heard they could take three months to post it.  Could I fill out a dispute and put the account information and say their $0 balance is wrong and it should be x amount?  I was thinking it could be a faster way to force the credit card company to post it on my credit.

I wouldn't start a mess like that. But technically yes but it can backfire too because the investigation can take longer than it takes to report on its own. Then you don't know what bal you have until the dispute is over. Then they can be re-investigated starting all over because the update came during the dispute. It really is not worth it unless you are desperate for change a few days early for something specific.
