Is something going on with Walmart Discover card?

They now have no mention of this card whatsoever on their website anymore! See for yourself. I remember like uptill last month I could see the benefits of both cards side by side (store card and discover), but the discover card is not showing up there anymore. PLUS, when you go to the Apply now link, you dont see any APR, info etc. about the Discover card. Are they getting rid of it??

As a Walmart Discover cardholder for the last two years, you had my noodle going.

A search on Google revealed this web page, http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/creditcardscom-weekly-credit-card-rate-report-97512899.html, which mentions that "The Walmart Discover card offer has temporarily been removed from the Internet."  I take it to mean that they're just not taking any new applications for the Walmart Discover card for the time being, but they're not about to screw existing cardholders.

I have a wally credit card with a good limit, and wanted to convert to their discover card, but i guess it's not gonna happen now :-(

Oops.  I meant they're not taking new applications on the Web site for the time being.  Now, calling GEMB about converting your Walmart store card to a Discover card account, I don't know about that, so you may want to try it.

From my understanding they will not convert.

I didn't know what you meant by "going the way Target did" so I Googled "Target Visa," and found out that they are not accepting new apps:
