The only time in my life I have seen the WEMC logo was on a relativees buypower card. It is hands down my favorite logo. And on a grey QS card, if it had the chip, wow that is one beautiful card I dont care what the APR is!!!

My original plan later on after I surpassed 5k was a visa signature for the warranties and movie tickets and car rental insurance.

I would hope some others can chime in here.  I would say the fastest way would be if you had excellent credit, to get the cap1 prestige with a high limit, then PC to a QS WMC and hope for an offer or reach out to social netowrking to get to WEMC?

We all want what we cant have. Grass is always greener on the other side. The one downside to this is, merchants will have to pay more per swipe to accept these higher tiered cards.

Yes. and it does not have the orange and red color logo. its kind of grayish. too bad i don't use it that much anymore. I will pay it down and use it when i travel later in the year.

ok im not sure why my reply isnt here but anyway...

So what is the fastest way for a person to get one? If they have excellent credit, apply for the prestige for the bigger limits, then request the WMC then reach out to social networking or some CO to get to WEMC?

I kinda figured one day my limit would allow a visa sig for the warranties and movie ticket, but Id rather have the awesome looking logo of the WEMC.

I can tell you how i got mine. but it was not planned not expected. I apped for a Qs1 mastercard 18 months ago. as it was a preapproval. Cap 1 in their generosity. gave me a $500 limit. yikes.

then last may. after 6 months of having qs1. they told me i have upgrade offer. thru chat. They changed me to the regular Qs. with mastercard after my credit steps took me to 3500 limit. i said wow. nice increase.

6 months after that i got a notice that my card had been changed to world. and it came in the mail. so that was it. my limit was increased again. the 2nd time to $5500. where it stands today. ive not asked for another increase as my usage dropped due to the many other cards it got. but i still have a special place for cap 1. I also got the venture card from them 2 months ago. visa signature.

IIRC, last known elegibility criteria for WEMC was minimum $10K CL and typically can be converted by EO (depending on whether the account qualifies or other internal criteria, such as usage, etc.) and/or solicited via invite with the upgrade.  The closest your QS can be PC'd to is WMC once it reaches $5K.  So, social media or EO may not be able to fulfill the request if the account doesn't meet the minimum elegibility criteria.

we have the exact same story except my initial CL was 1000 and I have had mine for 6 months...but its a visa. from my research it takes about 25k of spend a year to get the world elite on average.

I am considering the Venture, that way Id have the visa signature benefits. I know citi will let people change networks. I am gonna leave this one up to chance and the credit gods lol.
