Can you copy them with a piece if paper blocking the detailed transactions? All they need is her name, address and the issuing banks info

Re: Is this something normal from Barclays (possible fraud??)

I suggest ignoring those websites that people say certain telephone numbers are scams. Some are legitimate telephone numbers and people are just so silly that they think anyone who rings from a bank must be fake.

100% would call the EO and email the CEO. That is absurd to ask for that info mailed in. NO WAY WOULD I DO IT.

That's taking it too far just for something like this. A simple ring to customer service would be all that is needed. I'm not sure why people feel that mailing it in or asking for any of this is a scam. I've never been asked for a credit card, but one bank did ask for a bank statement to verify address and I didn't care that they saw the transactions or anything. Mail is just as secure as a fax or email; it would just take longer to get a decision for the card.

I think physical mail is actually less safe than digitally sending anything.
Funny how Gen Y trusts the internet more than physical maillol at least ime.

Re: Is this something normal from Barclays (possible fraud??)

Well, I think fax is safer than email since once you send something via regular email (not fancy encrypted email), that information is pretty much out there in the inter-webs. I think we "feel" that email is safer because WE have some way to track that we sent it to a certain address, etc. Snail mail is perfectly safe (tracking wise) provided that you send it via certified and all that jazz. Of course, this is assuming that you're sending it to the correct address.

Re: Is this something normal from Barclays (possible fraud??)

I mean Fax, not email.
Well, a certain credit once gave me the WRONG address, even though I repeated it back to the CSR three times, so there's a copy of my DL floating around out there somewhere.
How stupid.
