Went thru my CLI requests again with Cap1, and got this, which I declined. Why did I decline this you ask?? Well, because I know that in the future this card is going to give me a much nicer increase if I just wait it out a few more months. I can do that im proud of myself though. A year ago, I would accepted it and loved it!! Now... I'm like... Eh, I'll wait, lol!!

Oh I'm so disappointed because that extra $400 would have gone far for us in Vegas :-)
Good for you!!
I am still in that spot where I would have taken it, but I am learning patience from all of you.....slowly but surely ;-)
How much did you expect to get? Is your usage currently being restricted by this credit line?
That is awesome!!! Glad you were able/in a place to resist! You aren't the only one thats done this.
Since you declined it, doesn't that mean you can basically get on there and request any time you want? Then wait until its more? You would be better to check in a few months, then if its crap, call EO?

Lmao!!
You did the right thing... I got a new QS Visa four months ago with a SL of $5K, I recently gave the CLI button a hit, and it came back with a $2K increase to $7K. I had already determined I was going to turn down anything less than $1000.
Since you turned it down, you can try again in just a few weeks (technically you can try again right away, but there would be little point in doing so.) I've read before where folks did just what you did, and the second time around the offer was indeed better.

Really?!
I expected the usual $1-3k increase.
Usage is average, and I've got plenty of credit with them and everyone else so I could turn it down! There have been documented cases where if you're getting close to a CLI on your card and try for it like I did, it'll give you a small one. But if you wait it out another month or two, then you get your true increase then, which is better.

Yes, you can request daily if you want.
No need for me to call EO for an increase, I've got $47k in credit with just cap1, I'm sitting fine waiting will bring you a bigger CLI next time

Is there really a 'usual" for cap1?
