Hey all, the HP wasn't for a CLI, it was for getting the card.  I got the card over a month ago using the SCT (SP) only entering the last 4 of my SSN, i thought i was good.  The HP showed up yesterday and was alerted CSDI first then CK.

I did call the rep but not to have him remove it but to explain what happened...he said that's how they work, they wait for month cycle to report the HP.  He said that if you read the find print (which sometimes we dont lol), it says you will be subject to a credit pull which will be an HP.

Yes c00mtg, thqt is the recent information I was given also. So those of us applying for CLI's and for new cards with Comenity should tread with the understanding and knowledge that it really could  go either way, as kdm stated. So far we've had 4 people in the last few weeks mention they had a hard pull with requesting Comenity store card CLI's using the automated system and/or luv button. Good to be informed that it could go either way.

Re: Jcrew Comenity SP or HP?

So I might have to wait a month to find out? This is crap. I read the preappoval page and the card agreement, didn't see anything about them doing a HP. It just says subject to credit approval. Grey area I guess. This is gonna suck having possibly 3+ HP soon. I only did it to get some easy new accounts.

Yeah, the good thing is that i got t those card because i really wanted them and never new about those stores which i do have in san diego ca.  I use the jcrew for my son and the express for myself. I wont be requesting any CLI only because i dont want that to affect any future CLIs with my other CCs.  I dont spend more than $100 on each card anyways so dont need a high limit on them.

HPs should be on your CR for only a year lol, how cool would that be? dreaming...

Anytime you apply for credit, they are allowed to take a HP.  The whole "SCT" thing is not foolproof. It is merely based on anecdotal evidence. At any point, Comenity could change the policy and start taking HPs for the store cards (and for some people, they do take HPs for them).

The point is don't apply for any cards you don't really want. There's no such thing as an "easy new account". Any account can cost you a HP (or two or three!). You need to apply for things you want and are prepared to take a HP for. There's never a guarantee of any SCT or SP or anything like that.

yeah, it sucks but it is what it is.  We just have to take it like a man/woman and move on i guess lol...i wasn't happy either but at the same time, i basically did apply for it even though it was a SP.

I FORGOT!!!! my wife told me she got a HP notification yesterday as well for her SP victoria secret card.

Re: Jcrew Comenity SP or HP?

I can take it. I'm not getting a car loan until probably August of next year anyways. I will still post on here if I do get any HP. I noticed that HP don't effect me to much, compared to my wife which is in the mid 700's.
