Just hit the Best Buy luv button

My CL went from $2200 to $3100. I'm pretty sure it will be a INQ on my reports when I check tomorrow but it was worth it. I think you're allowed a CLI every 4 Months with Best Buy.

Re: Just hit the Best Buy luv button

store card or mastercard?

we have the mastercard, & they told me you can only have one CLI every 6 months.  Smiley Mad

Awesome!

I also have $2200 (was my initial).  DO you know yet if it was a hard pull?  How long since you got the card and/or last CLI?

I am afraid to try this...even though I have bought several items and PIF'ed...it has only been since December.  AND my FICOS aren't as good as yours--mid score is hovering around 670.

Awesome for you!

Re: Just hit the Best Buy luv button

I have the store card. I called and asked for a CLI at six months and got a frosty "no." Then 3-4 weeks ago, a thread was going about the luv button. I hit it and went from $2,500 (initial) to $4K. It was definitely not a hard. It was either internal review or a soft on EQ, but Equifax has goobered up my Credit Watch Gold, and I haven't been able to pull a report in a while. Smiley Mad

Re: Just hit the Best Buy luv button

Hauling, did you have a balance when you hit the luv?  I think it is too soon for me to hit the luv...I apped and received in Nov/Dec...but I did buy a lot over Christmas and in January and PIF'ed both times.  If they are in a generous mood and it's a soft, no harm, no foul, but nervous about it.  (I tend to get over excited when apping and don't want to set off my apping finger!)

Re: Just hit the Best Buy luv button

I think it was 4 r 5 Months ago when I last hit the luv button and i haven't received a hard hit so far. This is the 1st time i hit the luv button while having a balance($700). I normally try for 1 every 4 Months. Now I just hope National City email me saying I was approved for the $5000 CLI I asked for.

Re: Just hit the Best Buy luv button

I let my fingers get itchy and pushed it--declined.

Score when I was approved:  662

Score today:  677

I have spent almost $1000 since getting the card and have PIF'ed every time.  Util is showing at about 15% right now due to the way things report, but I am under 9% currently.

I am just about a week shy of three months.

Can those of you that did get luv post the amount of time you had the card before you pushed the button (if you didn't share already)?

Also, do I now have to wait another 3-6 months?  Any insight?

I would like the extra $, but in all honesty, it is more to raise my util.

When I get the reasons why letter, I will share.

And thanks to all here--I have raised my EQ sore 20 oints since joining.
