My score is in the Mid 600's depending on where you look. I applied online for a Kohls card and they asked me a bunch of verification questions. They then asked me to call the 866# with the application reference number. When I called they said they needed proof of income to be mailed in. Which I did today... Would they go through all of that to not approve me? This happen to anyone else? If I get denied after that, anyone have tricks to call and get approved? Thanks for the help in advance.
I see no reason that you would be denied if income is valid. Congrats!

If POI and all other verification items check out then it should hopefully be approved. Interesting that KOHLS would require POI, but then again this is quirky Capital One Retail Services we're dealing with.
I have two capital one cards. One is secured that i have had for 2 years no late payments and 1 capital one quicksilver that i just got in the last couple of weeks. Maybe that is a good sign?
I will be mad if they made me ceritfy that POI and take a inquiry hit to deny me...
I'm hoping you're approved OP. It would seem silly on their part (granted I've seen worse things) to request all this information to be declined. Keep us posted and wish you good luck with getting KOHLS.
I called to let them know I sent POI and asked if there is anything else or once that is verified woud I be approved? She said she wouldnt know and that the processing center does that. i asked to reach out to them and she said there is no way to reach them? Seems like awful service and no one knows what is going on there. Does anyone know a number to credit apps at Kohls?
I had to send in POI as well. Sent mine in 2 weeks ago. I called yesterday and the lady was going to forward it on to her Supervisor to try and speed it up since it had been a while already. I thought it was because I put down $96000. Glad to see you had to go through it as well. The rep had told me I was approved just needed to send this in. Seems like a lot for a probably $300 credit line.
I think I wrote almost same income.. My paystub will verify which is good.., The woman on the phone did not say it was approved, she said she didnt know. Did you call a specific number? I dont want to wait two weeks, they are slow! ![]()

Unfortunately, there's no direct number to reach them. You can probably ask for a supervisor to see if they can speed/escalate things up but they won't put you in touch with that department. It's just going to be one of those things that you need to let run its course, albeit a slow process.
