I'm more shocked at the fact that a dealer allowed you to pay for the entire vehicle with CC.
When I bought my last truck dealer would have let me, but didn't have a zero apr deal or a high enough limit I did put 10k on my credit card for the rewards though and they didn't bat an eye. Not a terrible way to churn through a few subs if you have them.

This is such a great answer and really unless you're trying to pad utilization this is a great strategy to use. 18k on my Apple Card is way more than enough as I'm lucky to every hit 5k on it. One the other hand, my 150k Spark card I need to make a few payments each month to not run out of limit (yes PIF still each month).
As was said it all depends on the card and how much you use it.

Do you already reach/exceed your $2M ">$5k cap" on Business Platinum? Or a lot of that spend is on smaller transactions?
*I think you once said you hadn't realized before that your main vendor accepted Amex? Or maybe that was someone else.
Purely for utilization

Often wondered about a card member’s plan once they get a large limit or increase over $5K? I’m just curious.
I had no/bad/awful credit for years. My student loan went to collections. It took a long time, but I eventually paid off my student loan.
After I received my first credit card with a $5000+ credit limit, I kept paying my bills on time.
I just kept doing that (paying my bills on time).
I didn't have a plan other than paying my bills on time.
Paying my bills on time resulted in my current excellent FICO scores.
