If I remember correctly, it was about 730. No lates ever. Pristine CR's. Paid tax lien still showing.

Btw, has anyone here ever gotten best terms from bce/bcp card? Maybe they look for almost any excuse not to give it.
Well...the banks have to make $$$ so they can give out the best rewards (6%, 3%, 3%) CC. Of course the advantage will be for the ppl who can PIF each month. I am sure we (consumers) are fully aware of this
I did a change from a plat delta to the bcp and they carried over my 14.25%. Happy camper about that since i do on occasion run a balance for a few months at a time.

Looks like the FICO reasons are reflecting the app spree reasons 1 and 3. Those two reasons sound like some the new cards are reporting. Reason #5 is probably reflecting the multiple inquiries made on Experian. Some of this may be factoring into AMEX decision. Inquiries represent ot a lender the persuit of new credit. With multiple inquires the and recently opened accounts may be making AMEX a little cautious. Remember the premise lenders will use the consumer applies only for the credit they need not want.

Andy,
No new accounts were showing. As for inquiries, there was just one from AMEX when they pulled again. Trust me, I know how to properly do app sprees. My mistake was apping on Friday so when they held 2nd approval up, it caused 2 inquiries too widely separated for it to count as one from Amex. In any case, when it is all said and done, she will have 2 inquiries on EX, and one on each of the other credit bureaus. But at the time they pulled, basically no new accounts for a while and one inquiry. All the reasons listed are obviously barely harming her given that she is showing 800+ score.
@Anonymous wrote:I'm a little annoyed the inquiry dates are 8 days apart. My fault for apping close to weekend. I've had luck with experian removing "dupe" inquiries via telephone. If your Amex inquiries are close together, you might try that as well.
Took your advice and success I owe you one
Experian still pulled a fast one on me though. I asked the most recent one to be removed, but they deleted the older one. Sneaky puppies
Also jumped the gun in complaining about my APR. Seems I got the best rate 17.24% (I was confused between this and the other app HHonors Surpass). My other complaint was the somewhat low(er?) limit on the BCP. I only got a 4k limit on the BCP but even that seems to be the norm for these Blue Cash cards. I was obviously asked to do a CLI in 61 days when I had initially called. The kicker was the backdate to 97. I have no complaints at all. I love AMEX !!! They certainly will get a lot of biz from now.

haahaa. I forget which thread I offered the advice on, but I am glad it worked out. As for the new AMEXs, remember it is 61 days to first CLI, then 6 months afterwards (and that is confirmed per member and not per card). My advice is to use the cards lightly and really watch your credit in next couple months so you can get the 3X CLI.
DOH just realized it was from this thread. Yeah I may have to try and get experian to remove the 2nd inquiry, but 6 days is kind of a lot to say it was dupe inquiries.

Wow yours was 6 days too. Hmm. Need to pin my wife down while I call Experian and explain. Btw, did you do it before either AMEX card showed up on credit report?
