I can't believe they were so rough on you with one stinking late payment.  That stinks.  On several rare occasions I've missed a payment by a few days, but every single time that happened I was lucky enough to get a CSR to credit the late payment fee.  I'm sure it happened at least once with Chase.  Maybe they're getting tougher these days.

At least you were able to get assurances that it won't be reported to the CRA's as a late.  Whew!!
