If all goes well, I will be closing on my house in a few weeks. It is a fixer upper. My boyfriend got the Lowe's card (since I couldn't app for anything during this process) so we would have the option of the special financing on some of the bigger items like flooring and appliances. My questions are: (1) Can he use the Veteran's discount if he is also using the special financing on the card? and (2) If we use the 84month financing option, does it all have to be in one single transaction?
I would check at the store, but the terms of the military discount on Lowes.com seem to indicate it is separate from the credit offers and, therefore, can be combined with the financing deal.
The military discount, however, cannot be combined with the 5% everyday credit discount (strangely, you have to look at the card's terms and not the miltary discount terms to find that out). The financing offer does not mention it can't be used with the military discount (and the general card terms only say the 5% discount and financing can't be combined).
As for what qualifies for the financing deal, it usually has to be on a single transaction (because the transaction amount prompts the cashier to ask which credit offer the customer wants).
I would make two notes about the 84 month financing option:
1. The minimum is currently lower ($2,000) during the July 4 holiday. It was the same over Memorial Day.
2. I saw a sign at Customer Service that the terms of this offer might change on August 1. It sounds like there will be one or more new financing options offered (not sure if the 5.99% rate will increase as well). If you purchase before August 1, you will be locked in under the current terms.
I have been pondering an appliance refresh since they are offering 35% off. $5700 and I could get all new appliances. It is so tempting to pull the trigger. Congrats on closing and good luck with the purchases.

Well they finally had my washer and dryer and all the parts needed in stock at one store so I pulled the trigger. I just did the laundry room this time. Once its paid off I will do the others. Can't wait to get them installed. I deserve it. My current dryer sounds like a tank rolling down main street. lol
Thank you for the replies! I am so excited about this closing and remodel!
Just a very quick suggestion, you may want to check Home Depot, they have the 84 month plan, they give you months to purchase all your items, so you do not have to make all your purchases at 1 time, the interest rate is at 7.99, not to bad tho

Thanks. I wish we had a Home Depot. I hear that they have some good deals.
