I hit the luv button lastnight. I received the message to call. I decided to not call. I checked my EX credit report and saw there was a soft inquiry. I called after seeing that. I called the regular customer service number. The CSR told me my maximum CL is at $2000 due to economy. I figured he was making up something. This morning I checked my account and saw my CL increased to $3000.
What I learnt? If you request a CLI, and you are requested to call a number, you more than likely going to get the CLI without calling. Although, it may not be the amount you requested. Happy Friday the 13th!!

well it might bite me in the rear in these times but i am testing your theory . I hit the luv button today and it did give me the hey call here to continue to process this request . I think its been three months since i got love from them went from 1k to 2.5k so we will see . Would be nice if they come thru i put 5k as the requested amount . Noticed yesterday they are offering me a .99% BT offer finally . I have one card with a balance that i could use the transfer on. But we shall see. I hope your theory works .ill let you know!
Keep me posted. I'm being offered 0% APR until Nov. 2010, but the BT fee is 4%. Back in the day, I would have used the BT and put the money in my savings. That BT fee changes the game. Good luck! If you get the increase, you will see it tomorrow.
Last Wed, i hit the button and received a BofA CLI from $3K to $5K. I thought I would press my luck and try for a CLI with Nordstrom.... Lo and behold, $2K--> $6K. So I thought what are the chances that I could get an AMEX? I applied for AMEX Gold Delta and was approved! I'm going to stop pressing my luck now.
For the past three months, I have been charging $1.5K/month. I rotate between CCs and PIF before the statement cuts.

I must say all of you are braver than I am. I'm not going to knowingly do anything that might cause any CCC to review my account. There is too much craziness going on right now. ![]()
But more power and good luck to those willing to be scrutinized. I'll just bide my time.

If you know what's in your credit reports, and your CC debt is less than 1%...there's nothing to be afraid of. Creditors can look at my reports anyday. All in it is favorable.

That doesn't seem to matter much anymore. My reports have absolutely nothing negative in them and my util is at 6% but there are many posts of recent AA's and who knows how many possibly resulted from some type of request or review. I have plenty of credit. But as I said more power and best wishes to those who want to request a CL.
