Macys increase hard pull or soft pull now

With Macying combining accounts if you call in will they soft pull or is it still a hard pull. Because I think if you ask online its a hard pull because it says at the end of the credit increase they will pull your credit.

I believe it's an HP either way.

I requested online and it was a definitive HP on EQ for me. At least I got a $9k increase out of it.

Personal Credit? Check. Business Credit? Check.

HP, at least I got a 20.6k increase out of that HP.
