Macys is Weird...

I apped for macys and nordstrom both on 9/4/08

and got the 7 to 10 day message on both. The following day at work i called Macys to see why and was told it was denied (to many inquires). I called Nordstrom they asked a few questions and approved .

Today i checked the mail and to my suprise a shinny red macys card with a whopping $100. CL.

Not sure what the wife can buy with that limit but at least im in (i quess)...

Hmmm every 3 month. Is it auto or did you call in for CLI? What should i expect for first CLI?

Hi, i had to call for my 1st guideline increase, call the number in back of the card.

congratulations, it's a really nice card to have and i'm not really a 'macy's person', they do have everything, and nice promos.  gli's seem to abound for the ocassional or serious shopper who pif.  my first was auto (400) i called for the second (1k).

a gli or guideline increase is macy's speak for cli, i think it's just what they call it...

OP - if you dont mind my asking, how many inqs did you have on the report that they pulled?

They pulled only EX for me. And i have 14 inquires
