@pip3man wrote:Damn I am definitely hitting Chase up again to match this offer. They did give me the 70k bonus for $2k spend but I'm gonna push my luck again. Thankfully my account is less than 3months old and I'm just about to reach $3k spending on the card so they might be willing to issue an additional 10k bonus points. Wish me luck
Really not worth it. As I said above 10K extra points is not worth the AF.

haha No Irish80 my annual fee for the Marriott account is waived for the first year unless I didn't catch it.

Yup..I'd rather have my free night and AF waived anyway over the 10k points.
Wise decision. The Points Guy who is considered the expert at valuing various travel and credit card points puts Marriot points at ..07 cents so these extra points are worth $70 which is less then the AF

It is under the 70K points offer but if you 'upgrade' to the 80K then they will assess the AF
@Anonymous wrote:Sounds great on the surface but the 70K offer that is still available is better. No AF, lower spend and one free night. 10K extra points is not worth the AF

70K comes with an annual fee but it's way the first year.

I understand that but it doesn't matter. You're still getting 10K extra points for an additional $85. Not worth it

@Anonymous--if you do the other off they will charge you the AF. If I recall, people were trying to do that with the IHG and they were taking back the statement credit for the extra bonus points.
Oh hell NOOO. I'll graciously pass on this one, didn't realize the annual fee on this offer isn't waived therefore I'll have to be charged. No bueno I'm very satisfied with what I got now. Thanks y'all for the clarification ![]()
Now with everything being said I'm not one to close an account out just before The AF hits the account. With that being said Irish80 if you think the 70K is a lot better of an offer in the long run then I'll go with it because I value yours and everybody else input to.
