So, if you want the generic vertical card instead of the swooshy grey stripes the People's card (not to mention it saying Elan instead of People's) you can go ahead and order a "damaged card" replacement now.

I will keep a stiff upper lip and continue with the very ugly People's card until it is my turn to join the sunny uplands of Elan. (Almost) silent suffering has its own dignity.

Re: MaxCash moves to Elan

I came close to signing up through Peoples to get the MC version, but changed my mind when I saw the writing on the wall about cellphone protection getting pulled.  I ended up getting mine through Renasant Bank which actually has a local branch in my city, and it came as a Visa.  Hopefully this one sticks it out for a while as I'd rather not end up with a vertical card design.

I'm looking forward to seeing if I can finally consolidate the two accounts to use the same login once they're both under the generic Elan umbrella, so this will be a good data point for the community.

Happy news! I finally called about combining the two acccounts that were originaly from two seperate financial institutions (Brywn Mawr Trust for Visa, and People's United for WMC)... and it was a piece of cake! Now that they are both under the generic Elan umbrella, I can access them under the same login for both cards. They walked me through doing it online, under "profile".

This is a data point we have long desired in the community, so hip-hip-hooray!
