Does anyone know what the maximum limit of Capital One Cards you can have?
I have 2 already and 1 that went CO (but paid) . I go to the pre-qualify site and check for grins and it says I'm pre-qualified for the Standard Platinum and Rewards.
I think in the days before the melt down you could have as many as you wanted really, however
I did the exact same thing you did and applied and got declined due to the fact that I already
had the maximum number of cards they would issue me at ( 2 ) . they didnt pull any credit
just sent me the letter.
FYI, I did apply and was declined due to maximum number of accounts with Capital One is 2.

I am not sure how true this is. I have a mastercard platinum, visa platinum and sony visa.
Maybe you can only have two Capital Primary + X number of Partner cards.
All of the cards listed below are 16 months old, 11 months old and 4 months old respectively.

Hey slg.
On my TU, I have two baddies. One from Sprint in '06 for around $120 and one in '05 from Time Warner for $23. I've disputed them so many times, and have been successful getting them taken off of my EQ, but they are sticking around on TU. They are so old that I don't plan on doing anything with them, just letting them age off. My oldest account on this report is 7yr 8mo old, and my AAoA is 3 yrs (as of then, I'm sure it's less now since I was also approved for the Chase Priority Club Rewards Visa within the past month--hasn't shown up on my scorewatch yet. My last late on this report is 4yr 9mo ago, so I think that's been helping in getting approved for prime cards lately. My INQs are 2 from 2010.
On my EQ, I have no baddies. Everything else is the same. My INQs are high at 9--3 in the past 6 mos.
I really don't have any idea what is going on on my EX report. It's been at least 6-9 mos since I've pulled it.
My util on both is hovering at around 25%.
I got approved for the gold Venture with a $3000 CL and 11.9% interest. Within the last 6 mos, I was approved for Chase Priority Club for $3000 at 17.9% and an Alliant CU visa for $2000 at 14.9ish% (dont remember exactly...I dont plan on revolving on any of these cards).
Hope this helps-- let me know if you need any more info!
I have 3 with capital one, 2 reward cards and 1 sony visa
Anyone have more than 3?
I think the idea is that there is no limit for co-branded card. Without co-branded it is limited to two cards.
i had six cap1, and closed one out due to high apr. two were transferred when hsbc was taken over. i actually tho't cap1 would close out an account or two but they left them all alone.
