I saw that Leadberry possibly PC'ed from BOA 321 to Fidelity Amex so I figured I would give it a try with my (old) BOA Platinum Plus AMEX.
Tried via online chat, and after a while of "A few more time please, while I'll research on this" - it is looking good!
Here is what the she came back with:
Yes, we can submit a request for conversion of your existing account to Fidelity AMEX Investment Rewards card.
The conversion process will take 2 to 4 weeks and you will start earning points upon activation and usage of the new card.
Disclosure 1: Please keep in mind, if your current affiliation does not offer the product you are requesting, it may be necessary to change the product type (for example MasterCard to Visa) or change the account to a non affiliated card in order to fulfill the request.
Disclosure 2: Your new cards will be delivered within two to four weeks. Your account number will change, and the original account number cannot be reinstated.
I have submitted the request. You can follow up with us at 1.866.445.6496 after 03/10. Your reference code is {removed}.
I was planning on closing this account out because I don't use it anymore - so a year or so ago I moved most of the CL to my other BOA cards... so I only have 1k on this card currently. They had basically moved it down to 1k to keep it open and give me time to get all of the points redeemed. I did that, just never closed it and put it in the SD. So I'll really want to get more than the 1k on this card - guess once (if) they do the conversion, I'll see if I can either get a CLI or get move CL from my two other BOA cards.
Had been eyeing this card - though about the new $75 offer, but with a possible mortgage app coming up figured I best just try and PC.
Wow! I didn't know this was an option!!
I tried to PC my BBR to World Mastercard and they said it was a go and then the next thing I know a week or two later I got a letter in the mail saying there was no such product. lol
OK OP you have inspired me.. opened a Fidelity cash management account and have initiated the PC with the BoA chat representative! Let's hope all goes well! ![]()
Thank you if it does, for sure -- as this was a card I was planning on apping for in July! Yay!
Hopefully request will go through and I'll end up with that hedious looking green card (but worth it for the 2x). I already had a 401k w/ Fidelity, but had opened a cash mgmt account too back in January knowing I was going to app for the card at some point and figured it was the easiest way to have the $ deposited in the account.
We'll see if it goes through...
I'm still waiting for them to report back on my request. ![]()
Funny you mention... I got an email today title "Bank of America Alert: Case Closed" saying to call during business hours and reference my case number so they can provide details about my case. Don't see that my account is any different logging into their site, so I assume it is that they couldn't do the PC (Expected).
I'll call tomorrow just to close the loop.
I have spoke to a senior Analyst, He clearly mentioned to me that they Cannot PC my BoA card (Same Platinum Plus) to Fidelity Amex.
Reason - They both were different, department and need to be applied seperately.
Ofcourse, I would be really surprised If you get card.

Ok, I had same happen to me, and I assumed same thing. Oh well, no loss there. I opened a Fidelity account, but no HP or anything and no fees of any sort to keep account open so again no big deal there. Thanks for your reply! ![]()
Officially a no-go for me. Now I don't have to worry about that hedious green card defacing my wallet... ![]()
