Does anyone know if Merrick Bank will blacklist? I have a paid settlement with them that is due to come off in 2010. I applied and was declined for the Hooters MC.

I thought blacklist meant that the late/collection was off your credit report but the company stores it in their own database.

What are your scores like. If it is showing on your bureau that may be the reason. Have you gotten a letter yet? Most banks won't lend if you have a bad account with them.

Wamu does the same thing with their old providan accounts. You might want to talk to Hooters CSR and see if they might reconsider your app.
