Mini App Spree and VS shopping cart trick question

Hello all,

Just wanted to share my Mini App Spree experience today. I received an invitation to apply form Discover IT and I went to the website and applied , and was approved. Discover didn't give the credit limit but did state I will receive the card along with the limit information in the mail within 5-7 days. I am very happy to be with Discover. I am not sure which CR Discover pulled. I then app`d for the Citi simplicity card, I was too afraid to apply for any of thier rewards cards as I felt my scores were not high enough for an approval so I applied for the eaiser card (Simplicity) I was given a credit limit of $1000.00 I have a paid judgement on my report that is almost 7 yrs old , and A horrible late payment hx with Chase Mortage (last late payment with them was over 1 1/2 yr ago) and 2 unpaid collections; one will fall off this October and the other one is over 3 ys old..... Anyway Citi was a instant approval , and they pulled Equifax (which is my lowest credit score) Citi said my score with EQ was 699. Then I tried to get the VS CC via the shopping Cart trick, I got the you are pre approved messgage , I entered all of my information and then received the "will notify you with a decesion within 7-10 days message. I also want to note when i stated i was pre-approved it didn't have a dollar limit. Does any one know if this is a denial? Has anyone ever had that happen to them before if so what was the outcome? I really hope I didn't suffer a HP     Thanks

Did you put in your entire Social Security number? If you did, it's definitely a hard pull. If you only entered the last 4 digits, then I believe it is soft in this instance.
