Missing Citi TYP Bonus points?

I'm a little confused.

I got the Citi TYP in August. At the time they had the 20,000 points for $1500 spend in first 3 months. Well I hit that threshold several weeks ago. My statement cut yesterday and when I checked it this morning...no sign of any bonus.

Is there something I need to do to get the points credited? Or does it take more than one billing cycle to get the points? I don't have much (recent) experience with Citi so I'm not really sure how they operate...

My experience with citi TYP is that as soon as you make the spending requirement within the timeframe the bonus posts on that statement....Call the number on the back of the card and tell them you finished the spend requirement and the bonus still did not post.....good luck!

Sorry to say, but you're going to need to get ready to put up a fight. I applied for the card back in February directly through the front page 20k offer and hit my spend at the end of February. Weeks went by, statements cut...I called and was told "the bonus offer for whatever reason was never applied to my application". It took me until the end of June(several calls & emails to the executive office) to get them to finally apply the points to my account. I used the points the next day and then immediately cancelled the card.

I had basic CSR's, Supervisors and even the initial EO call tell me the offer wasn't plastered on their main page. I had a screen shot of the offer with the dated window - which I always take when apping on an offer - it meant nothing to them.

Citi will never see another dime from me. Best of luck! Skip the 800 numbers and GO STRAIGHT TO THE EO!

Crap. That's what I was afraid of. Can they really screw me out of the bonus? I don't have a screen shot, but I kept all the documentation they sent me with the card and there's an insert with the offer.

Ugh...I don't have time for the type of nonsense you had to go through (I'm sure you didn't either!). I don't need the bonus (obviously), but it's the principle...

I felt the exact same way in regards to time and principle! What really burned me, was the fact that it wasn't a special offer. IT was plastered on their main CC site, but somehow I was wrong for 3 months. Thankfully during my EO exchange I spoke with a woman who actually stood by her word. She would call me every Friday telling me she hadn't forgotten about me. Once I dealt with her, it took her 4-6 weeks to get it to finally show up on the account.

Here's the email address: michael.l.corbat@citi.com that got me to the proper person finally! I'm sure this will get deleted or flagged, but hopefully you see it first. Again, best of luck!
