Discover has a policy that if a pymakes 2 payments within 3 days, the available credit for the second payments won’t be credited until 8 days, beyond that, you can make multiple payments a month.

Is it a matter of the payment not being credited, or is it a matter of your credit limit not being restored?

Re: Multiple Credit Cards Payments Per Month

Don't think there is a right answer here at all this has been asked many times in the past.  Do what works best for you as I doubt any AA impacts will happen as I pay usually every week on most cards when things post and been doing it for years and never had any AA.  It is when your behavior starts to change such as possibly paying from multiple bank accounts and other not normal behavior that will possibly bring attention to you account, not how many times one pays a month or whether they use their grace period as long as you are doing your "normal" behavior, where-as if behavior swings wildy is when things might happen IMO.

Re: Multiple Credit Cards Payments Per Month

I don’t know on that CC: have to remember the vast majority of people currently on the forums weren’t here during the mortgage crisis.

Things were getting shutdown for all sorts of reasons back then and that permeated the forums till around 2013 where overwhelming anecdotal evidence showed that the lenders had all shifted and then when Chase and Amex both slashed their guidelines when it came to underwriting their higher tier cards in 2014, it was patently obvious it was zoom zoom time for credit aficionados.

It’s truly hard to say what will happen if we go back to what amounts to the credit dark ages... I do know it will be bloody on this forum, even my fairly conservative habits will probably see some AA, and as a result that is why I try to appear as normal as possible.

As always YMMV when it comes to your lenders and your credit.

I agree and there have already been what the sensitive might view as portents of dark times: a few of us getting large CLDs from Cap One, and more recently reports of Amex doing the same.

If and when a crisis hits, I would hope people will quickly adapt:  be prepared for CLDs of unused credit (don't close in disgust as other issuers will be doing the same) and similarly learn not to expect or need CLIs beyond sensible levels.   And cards in general may be harder to get, so apply much more selectively.

Until then, let the good times roll!

You may want to doublecheck. Citibank only allows 3 payments on the account online in a billing cycle. It is the only CC I have ever had that put this kind of restriction on payments to the account.

Interesting. I have not see this yet. I have the AA (3 yrs) and Costco cards (2yr 9mo). I've definately been over 3 times a billing cycle as I PIF nearly every time my charges posts. Maybe it's one of those YMMV??? The only card issuer I've had a problem with is WF and the Propel Card. They would not take more than 4 payments from external accounts (verrified by them) per billing cycle. Any more than 4 you can have a CSR do it without a fee.

Good Luck OP!
