I received a call and a fraud alert email from Amex. They told me to call 1-800-824-9289 to confirm charges. I also checked online someone charge $2700 merchandise from Woot.com on Dec 26 and Dec 27. That I didn't buy. Right now, I'm on the phone with Amex. I requested to change the whole account number instead of last 5 digit card no. They hit this account every 2 years.
To all, watch closely your account activity and statement. Crooks also went on shopping spree.

That's terrible! OMG! I can't believe you got hit twice! I am glad that it was your CC and not your debit card though.
My BCE got hit three to four times in the past. Amex only changed last five digit number of card number instead of the whole account number. This time, I requested to change the whole thing to avoid same situation.

Sorry that happened, but I've been down that road before also. They changed my ENTIRE account number instead of just a replacement card, because I "insisted" on it.

I like woot.com. I bought a lot of stuff from them. They got a good deals. It is not their fault. I still buy stuff from them.

OMG..This is terrible. This is why I log in to my account about five times a day...call me paranoid, but whatever....lol.
By the way, this card was hit when the card was Amex Blue. They hit twice. Later, I converted into Blue Cash and they hit twice. Crooks knows how the Amex card number system works.
