I am also an EXISTING Cap 1 customer with 1 Platinum MasterCard there.

The FAQ's state that I will not receive a new credit card so it seems that card is staying on the Discover netwok.

Dude you are nitpicking now. I don't care about the 5% rotating categories-my card earns 1% base Cash Bank excluding any offers/rotating category spend.

Saying "no such thing" is a tad condescending IMO.

Not trying to be condescending in any way. I was simply asking which Discover it card you are referring to. It looks like it's the Discover it Cash Back, with the Penguins theme. It's not nitpicking to distinguish which Discover it card you are referring to.

Mr. Ptatohed is one of the nicest MFers around, so I guarantee he's not condescending. He's asking for clarification. He knows his stuff and if you say 1% card, he realizes you are mixed up and is trying to figure out which card you mean. Relax and be kind.
