My First BofA CLI

To recap:

Applied for BofA Rewards Amex on April 9.  Approved instantly for $2500.
Product change to BofA Accelerated Rewards Amex on April 23.

Today, I requested a CLI.  I thought I might be pushing the envelope asking them for too much too soon, but I've heard nothing but success stories around here regarding BofA CLIs, and no AA as a result, so I figured, why not.

I decided to call in instead of doing it online.  I also left the amount open and just requested whatever I'm eligible for.

Had to answer some questions from a credit analyst about my income, how long I've been doing what I do for a living, why would I like a CLI, etc etc.  Put me on hold for a few minutes, came back, and told me they were giving me a CLI to $7500.

The rep was even apologetic that he couldn't give me more.  He said I should give them a little more history and then they'll see about taking me higher.

How's that for a dreary Monday afternoon?

Very nice.
The slide from grace is really more like gliding
And I've found the trick is not to stop the sliding
But to find a graceful way of staying slid

Re: My First BofA CLI

BoA is great. My first increase was from $3,500 to $10,000 via website. Be careful though: my next request was denied stating that I had enough credit with them for my income.

I then requested another increase and got approved at first for $2,500 then upped the next day to $4,000 after speaking to credit department.

2 out of 3 requests approved, but just a caution not to get too cocky. Every now and then, they'll shoot you down....
Rust never sleeps and neither does my fico score...

Re: My First BofA CLI

Congrats...Smiley Happy I have wait 2 more months for my 99/500 card to become unsecure and possibly get a CLI on that card. I tried to get biz card from them, I was rejected. I am not touching them any more. I am surprised, Citi gives me bundles of luv. With BOA I have all my accounts and I can not get a single card from them. What a wonderful world?
