So, I paid down my utilization from 50% to 4% last month on about $20K of reporting CL's.
I had to wait nearly a month for the bureaus to be updated and my scores to go up because of the drastic drop in utilization. I knew it would be a big jump for EQ because that is my 'clean' report. TU/EX have (1) neg each, a paid collection.
My EQ went from 695 to 744 in a matter of 2 wks, and I pulled the trigger on Sunday.
In my wallet pre-spree:

DIscover IT - $1875 CL, instant online
Paypal Extras Mastercard - $1000 online app, had to call in

DCU, US Bank, Discover pulled EQ only.

Total current HP's :
(4) EQ
(2) TU
Had to provide a photocopy of I.D. for DCU and make a donation to one of their affiliated organizations to become a member of DCU, post application and approval.
No 2nd HP as of yet that many have referred to.
The last month or so has been verrrry stressful just from waiting for the CRA's to update. I feel like I've accomplished a major goal in my life. I always had credit, but with so many of us, life happened and things just go wrong. Alot of it my fault, alot of it not.
EQ has gone up 99 points in less than 4 months. 90% of it is because of this forum and the great info and advice that is sought and given.
Obviously I"m in the garden indefinitely. At least 1 yr. Next app will be for a mortgage on my new home!!!
