My second Pre-approved straight to the shredder

Ever since getting my Chase Freedom card it does seem that the credit card companies are seeking me out.Just received my second pre-approved in as many weeks .This time it's from a company called Legacy Visa.Decent credit limit but I'm not interested in any companies unless they are prime cards such as Chase, Citi,Discover,AMEX ect. Ok,now where is that shredder.....

I got a offer from Legacy Visa a month ago, and its a shady offer cuz the bank that issues the card is very simular name to First National of Omaha. Today i got a offer for a Citi Diamond Prefered Mastercard and it looks like a good offer but the interest is 0% for 9 months and 24.99% after, no thanks. I have enough cards right now since i recently just got approved for a Discover and its on its way!

After a bit of research that Legacy visa company looks very shady indeed.Congrats on the Discover card offer. In march 2013 hopefully that will the time for me to go after Discover.

Your scores look good for a discover, they pulled TU and said mine was a 692. But gardening always helps as i've been told/seen on this forum, so if u wait till march 2013 i could see them approving you with a very nice limit. Smiley Very Happy

ya i bet once my new discover reports to my credit files, i'll get all kinds of offers from any bank, and i'll probably get all kinds of cattalogs in the mail for preapproved accounts (like fingerhut and Montgomery ward) lol This week alone i got 2 offers from discover and i havent recieved the card yet, and today as ststed above i got a offer for citi diamond. I guess its better than First Premeir or Credit One, or DIscover Matrix by Continental Finance (which i got all those offers this year) lol Smiley Very Happy

Re: My second Pre-approved straight to the shredder

I remember opting out some time ago, but every now and then I get something in the mail.  Yesterday I opened one that was from some bottom of the barrel catalog type card, no credit check,$500 CL,  reports "to the credit bureau", and some other nonsense that I didn't look at.  Thought it was funny since my reports are clean now, my Fico's are up, and this is what I get! I opted out for about 2 years and when i got cards this year i opted back in to see who would compete for my business and it makes me feel wanted when i get a offer from a prime bank such as discover or citi. I'll eventually opt back out but for now its fun to open mail and see what kind of sleezy offer or decent offer awaits me! lol Smiley Very Happy
