As I posted on one of the other threads, just got approved for this card!![]()
I called day after approval to ask about CL and was advised it was $7500, BUT that the limit was subject to change when the card was actually issued. ![]()
Think I saw this on another post as well.
Wondering if anyone has had some experience with this they can share.
I should have my card by the end of the week, but trying to get my ducks in a row as I'm considering a BT, so CL is an important factor in my plannning and final action.
A revision of the stated initial CL noted upon auto approval would be rare in the absence of a real or perceived (significant) change in credentials/ cbr at the precise time in between when you received approval and when the card is issued, in my case that time frame appeared to be approx. 48-72 hours.
If you want to err on the side of being conservative, perhaps plan for 5k and let the 7.5k be nice cushion when it is confirmed. I was approved for 12.5k instant but when I got the card it was a 15k CL, so it works both ways. Looking forward rom, I recommend a usbank co-brand like linux, or naacp for their NO FEE 12 mos and 15 mos BT offers respectively, if BT is a consideration on future app. and the offer are still available. Perhaps others will chime in with their Nationwide card issuing experience, but I think you are sitting pretty ![]()
Thanks for the always great advice, score!
I was actually just reading up on US Bank so will try to look for more posts etc to garner a little more info. Any thoughts or advices (underwriting info and/or whre to llok for info) on that is apprecated also.
Don't want to risk an inq if approval not likely, especially after Citi denied me.
But I'd LOVE a 15 mos 0% BT so I could make a dent in my balances sooner!!
Thanks again!!
Update:
Received my card yesterday (!) and limit is indeed &7500!! ![]()
Do they report new accounts to CRAs quickly?
Still working on my BT plan.....and looks like I'll have to call them anyway to process when I'm ready as I don't see that feature on line.
Do you know if Nationwide will let you BT to checking like Citi does?? I'm concerned that paying another card with a BT could cause a CLD or other adverse action, so I'd rather pay from my usual checking.
Don't think US Bank will be an option after all as there's not a local office in GA and from what I've read that's a must, even if you're only getting CC. Another poster advised they were denied (w/o hard pull) just based on address with no branch location. I think I also read a post that an online checking and savings could be set up to gain access to CC, but I have my banking all set up as NFCU, except for small balance checking I keep open at BBT since they have my car loan and it makes transferring funds for loan easy.
While I'd like to have another good BT card, I'm thrilled to have this new one from Nationwide!!
