Friends,
While checking my account this morning I stumbled across NFCU's new welcome bonuses for credit card holders. Thank God I signed up when I did!
When I was approved for my cashRewards in November the required spend was $2500 over 90 days for a $250 bonus and as you can see below its dropped to $1000 over 90 days for a $150 bonus. The Flagship now offers a 30,000 point ($300 value) bonus for the required spend of $3,000 within 90 days of account opening.
Although the bonuses are not bad I contemplate if the bonus I received was one of NFCU's holiday credit card promotions. ![]()
Note that the start date for these applications is 1/4/22. The website still has the old SUBs, but the app shows the ones you list.
No surprise. This has been a banner year for sign up bonuses, and the only reason so many financial institutions kept them running so long is because they wanted to grab a share of the holiday spend. I expect nearly all card issuers to follow suit, and slash their SUBs.
They also no longer waive the annual fee for the first year. This card would be such a good value if they offered more then TSA-precheck/global entry to offset the AF.

It's $100 credit for a $49 AF, which isn't bad. But even ignoring that, the SUB means the Flagship is effectively free for 6 years (8, if you apply in the next 2 days).
