Given the wide APR range, I am guessing this is a marketing email and not a pre-qual offer.

I just received an E-Mail with an offer from NFCU:
You’re pre-selected for a Platinum or cashRewards credit card with a 0% intro APR on purchases and balance transfers for 12 months. After that, a variable APR between 8.49% and 18% applies for Platinum and 10.15% and 18% applies for cashRewards.* Accept this offer at the link below.
Oddly enough, my bf and I were just talking about potentially applying for a card with an initial 0% APR offer yesterday, since our home renovation is getting a bit more pricey than our checkings account can handle ;-) However, I already got the cashRewards card with a $7,100 SL around a month ago, so there really is no need for us to obtain another one, and the platinum card also seems kinda unnecessary.
Sooo my question is: would Navy Fed still match this offer for my current card if I ask? Does anyone maybe have experience with this? Is that something banks generally do? Because I honestly have no idea lol
The key word with a BIG red flag is "Pre-Selected", not "Pre-Qualified/Approved".
Another words, we picked your name but didn't do anything with it, our computers forgot to pre-approve you. We're on the fence trying to decide if we want to pre-approve you. Apply and sustain a HP forcing us to decide.
And then the obvious wide range of APR's.
Duplicate offer.
