NFCU Line Combo Question

I just applied for a cashrewards (product changed) the same day to Platinum. I already have a old cashrewards card thats few years old. I know its hit or miss, up to the agents discretion. But can I Request a credit line combination to my old card and close of the brand new card? (3 days old) or is there a timeframe to request a consolidation?

Others can opine, but I don't think they do this.   I called to try and transfer some of my CL from 2 other NFCU cards to my Cash Rewards card, and the agent said they don't do that, that each card is treated separately.   You could always try...the worst they'll say is "no".

It can depend on the rep you get, but it has been reported that generally if you ask for a reallocation "just because" the answer is usually no.

If you ask for a reallocation because you need a higher limit on a card to do a balance transfer sometimes they'll grant the request, but you will need to specify this when making the request.

i tried this too, they said i wasnt eligible because the account was under 12 months old (donor card). Does this YMMV? try again on monday, sincee the weekend reps might be different. BTW its me but iforgot my password lol. Or would it make a difference if i transfer all to the card I want thats old, except for a couplee thousand if that would make a difference? what do ya think lol
