I really didn't figure I would get an immediate reply.........I do still have a fraud alert on my file too.
I expect a call from NFCU.......
its not a flat out denial.....the fact they are considering me under review........makes 2012 that much brighter........

I should have added I have a secured card with NFCU........
thx LS.
maybe my secured card, and my direct deposits......and my SO/fiance just got a personal loan and we have a joint saving and checking acct.
I have been blessed this year.
2012 is looking brighter.........
On the road to credit heaven........
I hope they approve you! Despite my irritation with them at giving me such a low CL on my card, I like them. They're my prime candidate for when I apply for an auto loan in about a month. I'd rather get a loan from them than some random bank or finance company.
I am still under review.........

You probably won't know anything until Tuesday. Most of NFCU's credit card dept is off until then (if not all of it). They're working with a very minimal staff during the holidays.
If you have accounts with them you're using, and your secured card has been there a while (as LS2982 mentioned it helping); I'd say you're right on the fence for an approval of some kind being they sent you an invite with a code. At least that's going on all I've read about them. My reports were all clean with an EQ (checked 4 CC) score around 615 and TU (checked 4 membership) score around 688 when the pre-selected offer popped up on my account screen (no invite code being it was just the box on the account page).
I applied on the phone while signing up for online access after the prompting of the CSR during our conversation (the box was there upon accessing), was approved a few days later, only 3k, right after joining. My scores are lowered by high util (the worst part of 0%) and new accounts, I think the perfect history helped with the approval, my AAoA at the time was over 4 years.
As I said, seems like it could go either way as it seems you're on the fence info wise (IMHO).
Best of luck, I hope you're approved ![]()
If not, I've read your best bet is right at the 1 year mark to request they unsecure a card, so it could end up being just a time factor.
