NFCU secured card , do they graduate?

I just received my NFCU secured card yesterday . But, I'm worried that I made the wrong decision . I've heard that their secured card won't graduate. is this true ?

Its a toss up.. Some peoples have and others havent.. Cross your fingers for the 12th statement!

My son's graduated at about 10 months. If yours doesn't after 12 months, give them a call.

Nobody knows the rhyme or reason to it

If you call they tell you they can't and to re apply. Yet other members' cards graduate.

Did you son get a cli on the card when it became unsecured . Or did he keep the same limit equal to his deposit? Thanks for the info

Yes. They did raise his limit from $500 to $1,000 and returned the security deposit to my account. A few days later he called to inquire and request a return to the $500 limit. They raised it to $25,000.

He's 16 years old. Figure that out!
