I love Navy Fed and I kept hitting them up online for limit increases... The first few were instant...
Original limit: $7,500 > $10,000 > $15,000 > $20,000 > $25,000... Weeks later when I requested $30,000 I got the 3-5 day message....
They approved $30,000 but hard pulled my TU and hard pulled both my husbands TU and EQ. Bummer ![]()
Just out of curiousity I did it again today to see if they would instant approve because they just got a credit report for us a week ago, and then got the 3-5 message again.
Does anyone know if they always HP after a certain dollar amount? (I'm guessing 30k they start?)
Or if your credit report pulled by them is good for a certain period of time? (3-5 day message but no HPs for a certain number of days?)

after $25k
but since you just got a HP, I'm not sure if they will take another but even if you apply for 2 credit cards same day, Navy usually pulls 2 so good chance another HP!
What are scores and other cards? maybe just request the full $50k and call it a day!

Unless it's auto CLI. I had an auto from 30-35K this past week.
But I thought NFCU always were HP happy when it came to customer initiated CLI?
I know it was my first hard pull from them since applying for the card! I was hoping if I went a little at a time they wouldn't do any HPs...
Other card limits are around $2,000 so super low, both my husbands and my scores are around 760 FAKOs and 750's FICO.... No baddies here except for 1 30-day late payment from 2008.
I guess they are HP happy.... Thats's crazy they pull twice if you apply for 2 cards in the same day! They haven't pulled yet for my most recent request.
I'm thinking of just calling and asking them
Well I called and they were very dodgy about the subject!! He wouldn't say if they would hard pull again for another increase but he says that they can anytime you request one. Also he wouldn't tell me if there were any income requirements or credit requirements to max out the card at the $50,000 limit. He also wouldn't say if the report that they pulled was good for a certain amount if time.
So I guess I'm just going to try for $50k what's the worst that could happen!? Last week they increased to $30k with a hard pull, and then on Saturday they increased to $34k with no hard pull yet.... I'm just going to pull the trigger if there are no HPs by tomorrow

If you asked for $35 and they gave you $34k I would sit tight for at least 3 months if not 6 with that. You are at your limit if they countered.
Thanks for the tip. They didn't counter though, last week I asked for $30k and they approved then a few days later I asked for $34k and they approved... No counters they have approved every request I've put in (even the one that doubled my limit from $7k to 15k)
