@freshstart26 wrote:Hi! I have a question. We started out with a secured card with NFCU. They graduated our card to a Cash Rewards with a $2,000 limit. Do they ever automatically increase your credit line? Or do you have to request an increase? Thank you.
They may auto increase it - it's been known to happen but data points are sparse in this forum because no one waits for an auto around here. Their online CLI requests are softpulls - so no harm, no foul. You can request every 181 days - in your case, it will be 181 days from the date your card unsecured as they consider that to be a CLI.
Right now (because Covid) their max CLI is $4K. Prior to covid they'd consider approving up to 3x the limit - hopefully we'll get back to that norm someday...
Thank you.

YW! And I forgot - congrats on your card graduating and welcome to the forums!
As I'm sure you already figured out, Navy doesn't seem to care about Bankrupcty if you treat them well. I'm only about 15 months out of BK7 and have $15k in credit card limits with them and there's others with less time since BK and have even more!
I graduated in 7 months, 6 months later got a boost to $4.5K. Just moved all of my spending over to NFCU (I had all of it going through 2 Cap 1 cards to show them some love and get higher limits) and putting anywhere from $2-3K a month on the NFCU card now. Going to do this for the next 6 months, and then I'll be at the 2 year post-discharge and get to see what the results are of my next CLI request.

TY! I think you just answered 2 questions I had about adding funds to my NFCU Secured Card to get it up to $2000 total. Adding to it I know they told me would be another HP. And then the second us that the start date for the 6 month click to start us.... at the time of the last HP. So I must wait. 🙏🏻
@Anonymous: Congratulations on your Graduation !! 👨🎓 👩🏾🎓
