Hello to all,
I was wondering my approval chances for the More rewards Amex card through Navy Federal. I started my journey with Navy Fed with the secured nRewards card in 2020 and the card graduated in less than a year to the Cash Rewards card in the amount of $2k. I have had the cash reward card for almost two years now and was looking forward to applying for the Amex card soon but did not know if I would meet the credit requirement. As of now my fico scores as of now EQ 759 TU 690 EX 669. These are all fico 8 scores. I Want to get a higher limit when I apply however, will these scores be high enough or should I wait. Any help would be truly appreciate. Thanks in advance!
Will
I know all profiles are different and nothing is guaranteed but for what it's worth these were my Fico 9 and 8 scores when I got approved for the More Rewards in February 2020. They pulled Transunion. They started me at $9300. It was my first card with Navy Federal and I had just joined them in January 2020. No direct deposit set up and less than $20 in my account. Best wishes to you should you decide to apply

Just a note, NAVY uses Fico 9's.
tu9 for new cards and eq9 for cli's
if i am wrong someone correct me.
in my case they pulled tu9 for my cash rewards
Thank you so much for that information.
Thank you for that information. I see that my fico 9 score with transunion is 730 higher than the 8. I think I will give it a go soon. thanks again.
If you have positive history with NFCU then you probably have decent odds at approval. Keep in mind that scores aren't the only thing considered, that Navy has their own internal scoring system, and obviously there are other factors such as income, etc.. but they're one of the best CUs out there for rebuilders.
I think you have pretty good odds. Let us know the outcome.
Thank you for the information. I will definitely let you all know the outcome!!
