Seems fairly accurate, although the dataset is small for some OCs. However, let's assume the data is 100 percent, double-secret-pinky-swear, accurate. It only tells a piece of the story.
Who they pull is often geography dependent. West of the Mississippi might be TU. East of the Mississippi might be EQ. Fused mentioned a couple times that one of the CRAs is pulled almost exclusively on the island.
You also are seeing the score someone had, not the minimum score required. Someone lists a 737 EQ for AMEX Delta Skymiles, but others report getting Delta with high 500s. And, with AMEX, that's the score they had, not AMEX's approval criteria. AMEX uses their own inhouse scoring. They pull your CRs, and perhaps they look at FICO scores, but that ain't the approval process.
True of almost any CCC. FICOs alone aren't the approval criteria.
If you have an existing relationship with the CCC, or you establish one when you apply for a CC, it's more than likely you get added consideration. I banked with Wells Fargo when I applied and received my CC from them, and I'm thinking that got me in the door and not my FICOs. State Farm does my insurance (car, renters, life), and I think they considered that when I got a CC from them. With WAMU, I opened checking and savings and applied for a CC there and then. Might have helped.
With CUs and small banks, they'll want financials. Some will look at your DTI and income, and pay far less attention to FICO scores.
Then there's blacklisting.
