What is the big deal with these cards? Is it strictly a status thing? Also, can someone explain to me the difference between the two please?
WEMC offers almost the same things. You would have to look at the different cards to see whats what. I have a few of each and they're just about all the same with the exception of 1/2 things.

I am wondering the same thing,I jus got huge CLI on nfcu CC...so is it now possible to upgrade to world master card 😐 ????
Navy doesn't offer their cards in a World Mastercard. I inquired!
I'm not very interested in the benefits of either, or the status they carry, but rather the next card I want is a Visa Signature...and a lot of the travel cards only come in Visa Signature versions. So just starting out with my credit history, with my largest limit being 3k, I'm striving to get a Visa Sig not because of the things it offers, but because it's on the cards I actually want. And typically they come with a minimum 5k limit, so we'll see if I get approved.

For a lot of people it's simply a status thing. There are some useful benefits for some people and there are some variances between the two networks offerings, but for the majority of people I'd say it's more eye candy than a useful tool.
+1
This is probably true

So you mean I don't need to run out and get a World Elite Signature VisaCard?

What? You took the time to type that when you should have been running out to get....?
But yes, probably not. When choosing a card, the level should be fairly low in the selection criteria
